Remove left side cover, and remove bolt that holds the seat in the front near the back of the gas tank. After removing the bolt, CAREFULL slide seat forward, I say CAREFULLY because when it releases, you could smack the back of the gas tank. Remove right side cover, batter should slide out to the right. Disconnect leads, and clean leads thoroughly. Reinstall battery is reverse of removal. Put a little dielectric grease on battery terminals to keep them from corroding.
