I have a 1996 Honda VFR750F so I can answer for that model and I imagine it would be the same procedure for those near it in year. I understand some models (don't know what years) have a sight level which means you look through a little glass window in the case to check the level. The owners manual for my bike says the bike should be strated and run for a couple of minutes to warm up. Then, when the bike is on the center stand (or held in the upright position as opposed to leaning on the side stand), unscrew and pull out the oil dipstick (located on the right hand side of the bike near but below the oil fill hole) and wipe it clean. Reinsert the dipstick without screwing it in and the oil level should be between the two lines on the dipstick. Note it is important the bike is warm and the bike is straight upright for this procedure or you'll get an inaccurate oil level reading. Overfilling can be just as bad as not having enough oil so be careful if adding oil.
I can't really remember, but was it not 3.5 litres? This you can check while the engine is on at idle, check the stick level. ---
Pull the dipstick out and check the oil level.
To check the oil on a Suzuki 750 King Quad, first ensure the vehicle is on a level surface and the engine is off. Locate the dipstick, usually found on the oil filler cap, remove it, and wipe it clean with a cloth. Reinsert the dipstick without screwing it in, remove it again, and check the oil level against the markings. If the oil level is low, add the appropriate oil type until it reaches the correct level.
there is a dipstick beside the kick starter.
First, I would check the oil pressure with a gauge, and if it is ok, then check the sensor and wire. Lets hope the pump is good.
Add 2 quarts of Honda 4stroke motor oil then check the level @ dipstick and adjust accordingly. Good luck & don't forget to change the oil filter.
About 3.7 quarts.
Honda motor oil 10 w40 sj only
No, this is impossible. You must switch off the engine and let the bike stand level for a few minutes before you check the oil level.
Use any JASO-MA or MA2 or SAE SF-SG oil of W 15-40 for this bike.
To check the oil in a Honda FourTrax, start by ensuring the vehicle is on a level surface and the engine is off. Remove the dipstick from the oil filler cap, wipe it clean, then reinsert it without screwing it back in. Pull it out again to check the oil level; it should be between the minimum and maximum marks. If necessary, add oil through the filler cap to reach the recommended level.
3.3 quarts
