If necessary, add the appropriate oil to reach the correct level.

To check the transmission fluid on a 2001 Harley Davidson Ultra Classic, first ensure the motorcycle is on a level surface and the engine is warm. Locate the transmission dipstick, which is typically found on the right side of the transmission case. Remove the dipstick, wipe it clean, reinsert it without screwing it back in, and then remove it again to check the fluid level. The fluid should be within the marked range on the dipstick; if it's low, add the recommended type of transmission fluid as needed.
Harley uses a belt instead of a chain because chains are messy, need constant adjustment, wear out sprockets and have a relatively short service life. A belt on the other hand is clean, rarely needs adjustment, is easy on sprockets and has a very long service life. 100,000 miles or more from a belt is very common. Harley chose not to use shaft drive because it is inefficient in that it robs power from the bike due to friction.
your float is probably stuck. if the bike sat for a length of time, you may need to clean out the carb. its not that hard, but you'll need a carb rebuild kit. gaskets need to be replaced, and maybe the jet needle. should all be in the kit. D
