To put a Honda Foreman 400 in reverse, first ensure the vehicle is at a complete stop. Then, pull the reverse lever, which is typically located on the left side of the handlebars or near the foot brake. While holding the reverse lever, shift the gear into reverse by moving the foot shift lever. Release the brake and gently accelerate to move in reverse.
To put a 2011 Honda Rancher 420 in reverse, first ensure the ATV is at a complete stop. Then, locate the reverse override switch, typically found on the left handlebar; press and hold it. While holding the switch, shift the gear lever to the reverse position, which is often marked with an "R." Release the switch, and you are now in reverse.
To install a rear differential bearing in a Honda FourTrax, first, remove the rear differential assembly from the vehicle. Clean the bearing seat thoroughly, then press the new bearing into place using a suitable tool or press to ensure it’s seated evenly. Reassemble the differential, ensuring all components are aligned correctly, and then reinstall it back onto the FourTrax. Finally, check for any play or misalignment before securing everything in place.
To put a Honda FourTrax into neutral, start by ensuring the ATV is on a flat surface and the engine is off. Pull in the clutch lever and shift the gear selector to the neutral position, which is typically marked with an "N." If the gear does not shift easily, slightly rock the ATV back and forth while attempting to shift to neutral. Once in neutral, the indicator light on the dashboard should illuminate.
