To rebuild a 2001 Suzuki JR 80 carburetor, first, remove it from the bike and disassemble it carefully, noting the order of parts. Clean all components using carburetor cleaner and a soft brush to remove any dirt or gunk, paying special attention to jets and passages. Replace any worn parts with a carburetor rebuild kit, including gaskets and O-rings. Finally, reassemble the carburetor, ensuring all connections are tight, and reinstall it on the bike.

Yes, the starter for the Suzuki LT80 can be rebuilt. Armature and brush kits are available from various online sources. The actual rebuild is not difficult but getting the starter motor out can be. You have to lower the engine through the bottom of the frame to get it out. As of May 2008 the cost of an armature kit and brush kit is very close to the cost of an after market rebuild starter so while you can rebuild this unit it may not save you much if any money.
Turn gas off, remove carb. Take bottom of carb off via 4 screws. This called the bowl. Check to make sure float moves freely, is so, leave it alone. Take the keys out and soak them for ten mins in near boiling water and carb cleaner. Then take small stiff wire and make sure all the holes on the side of the jet tube are not obstructed. Do the same for the jet it self. U should be able to see through it. Also soak the carb overnight in carb cleaner. If the jets can not be cleared buy a carb rebuild kit for $15
