Remove rear screw, pull seat rearward until front tab disengages from under the tank, remove seat by pulling seat forward and sliding the strap over the passenger seat (requires some tugging at the strap).
To replace slide the strap over the passenger seat pushing the seat rearward until the tab slips under the tank.
To remove the seat on a Harley Davidson Road King, you must unscrew the Philips head screw that is directly behind the seat. Then, slide the seat and unfasten the hook at the front of it.

A wide glide is not a touring bike. The only difference between a wide glide seat and other dynas of the same year is the length of the rear mounting tab. On many aftermarket seats the rear bracket is adjustable to any dyna.
Remove the Seat.

Unscrew the rear chrome screw on top of fender and a screw on left and right side of seat and pull up and back and remove.
It's in the big square box located under the seat. The bolts are on the shifter side of the bike usually under some cosmetic push on caps.
