A yamaha warrior does not have a timing. If it is backfiring like mine you have to get a diagnostics and something in the electrical system their is a switch that is turned off. IF you take it to a shop it will run you about 80-200 $$. I learned all this yesterday. Hope this helps.

how to set ttr125 timing
To adjust the timing on a 1997 Yamaha Warrior YFM350, first, ensure the engine is at top dead center (TDC) on the compression stroke. Remove the timing cover to access the timing marks on the flywheel and the ignition timing plate. Loosen the bolts on the timing plate, rotate it to align the timing marks as needed, and then tighten the bolts securely. Finally, recheck the timing to ensure it is correctly set before reassembling the cover.
Timing is set by the PCM and not adjustable.

You set cam timing on a Yamaha big bear 350 4x4, by opening up the bike chassis and looking for the cam timing levers. You can adjust it up or down until you have it set to how you want it.
