How to set timing on 1984 Honda 200s 3wheeler
To adjust the timing on a 1985 Honda FourTrax ATV, first, ensure the engine is at top dead center (TDC) on the compression stroke. Then, locate the timing mark on the flywheel and align it with the pointer on the engine case. Adjust the timing by loosening the mounting bolts on the ignition coil or stator and rotating it slightly as needed to achieve the proper alignment. Finally, tighten the bolts and recheck the timing to ensure it's set correctly.
On a Honda 300 ATV, the timing hole is typically located on the left side of the engine, near the flywheel. It can usually be accessed by removing the left side cover or the timing inspection cover. This hole allows you to align the engine's timing mark when adjusting the timing or performing maintenance. Always refer to the specific service manual for your ATV model for precise instructions.

To set the timing on a 1985 Honda ATC-200S, first ensure the engine is at top dead center (TDC) on the compression stroke. Remove the timing inspection cover and align the timing marks on the flywheel with the mark on the case. If the timing needs adjustment, loosen the ignition timing plate screws and rotate the plate until the marks align properly, then retighten the screws. Always refer to the service manual for specific torque specifications and detailed procedures.
There isn't a "timing" on a 400ex or any other atv. There is a timing CHAIN, and timing chain tensioner. -my400ex89 "go big or go home"
I just called a Honda ATV dealer and asked him what oil to use in a 1982 ATC 110 he says 10w40. He says 10w40 was standard back in the 70,80's.
