I have a 1997 Timberwolf 250. it is all stock. Stock size dunlop tires. No mods. I have run it with a buddy of mine on the road with him on his motor cycle. It will run 55 MPH flat out with no mods. Pretty scarry for a small machine, but it is pretty quick .

EDIT:

I've had 2 and have had friends with some. 55mph is achievable if you're travelling downhill with overly inflated tires. If you rev it too high, you're at a pretty great risk of stretching the timing chain or jumping the cam gear by a tooth or more. On flat ground with properly inflated tires, typically 48-50mph.
