if you have spark and not starting still check fuel lines and tank for debris or blockege in the fuell line, or the air filter may be too dirty fro air to sift thru try blowing they air cleaner out then replace and try startiing take the bell housing of the carb and scrub and spry with brake clean and replace . if no spark then try replaceing plug if that does not work trace back to where wire is.

Lightly turn the idle/fuel adjustment screws in the front of the carb (they run thru little springs) all the way clockwise til they stop, then out 1 and 1/2 turns. If it won't start and run there, its got other problems.

Why is there gasoline in Crankcase on 1981 Goldwing gl 1100?
The only way gas would be able to get into the crankcase is when the engine is off, gas is leaking down thru the carb's and passing thru the rings into the oil. Does the engine run well ? Is there always gas in the oil, or did you have trouble starting the engine and flooded it. If it was flooded once, that would do it. Change oil and filter.

get a can of Carb Clean and spray outside of carb first, then remove all jets,and the bowl and remove the float and needle and seat,and spray thru all ports.blow out with low pressure air hose and put back together,make sure the needle is free and goes up anmd down with the float before asembly.
