It depends on which Honda you're refering to. The smaller Hondas and Hybrids appear to get more miles to the gallon. The typical range is anywhere from 18 to 32 miles to the gallon city and 23 to 38 highway.
It all depends on the features your Honda has on it. Many Hondas, including mine, you do need the key in the ignition. However, that is a feature that is different on different Hondas.

Preowned Hondas can be purchased from many different places. It may be easy to find a preowned Honda from a private owner. It would be just as easy to go to a local dealership to find many preowned vehicles, including Hondas.

Yes. Hondas hold their value more than almost any other car. I had my last Honda for 11 years. I did the recommended maintenance on it, and never had any problems with it. It is very common for Hondas to be driven well over 200,000 miles before people start having problems.
My Service Garage that specializes in Acuras and Hondas told me 105,000 miles for my 2003 TL. Hope that helps.
