To calculate horsepower, you can use the formula: horsepower = (weight in pounds × height in feet) / (time in seconds × 550). In this case, the steam shovel lifted 1100 pounds of dirt 1 foot in 1 second. Plugging in the values, we get: (1100 × 1) / (1 × 550) = 2 horsepower. Therefore, the steam shovel is operating at 2 horsepower.
28 maybe 30
The 2011 Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R, commonly referred to as the 1000 Ninja, produces approximately 200 horsepower at its peak. This figure can vary slightly depending on specific conditions and modifications. The motorcycle is known for its powerful engine and performance capabilities, making it a popular choice among sportbike enthusiasts.
It is not possible to directly convert engine displacement (measured in cc) to horsepower. Horsepower is influenced by various factors such as engine efficiency, fuel type, and design. Generally, a 1100 cc engine might produce anywhere from 50 to 150 horsepower, depending on these factors.
