The oil drain plug on a twin cam 88 is located on the bottom of the engine. Its placement allows for the oil to be quickly and easily drained.
4.5 L.....5w30 oil is recommended, for cooler start ups use 10w30 oil.
Take it to your local Harley dealership.

On what bike? You have a real problem if it is a big twin.
Yes if you blew your head gasket
1 qt of primary oil
Harley-Davidson Oil Pressure Specs for the Twin Cam Engine: Cold engine start-up: 44-50 psi. Warm engine at 2000 rpm and up: 30-38 psi. Warm engine at idle: at least 10 psi.
Twin Cam 1450 FXDXEngine , Transmission and Primary Chain case need the same oil. I use AMSOIL MCV 20W-50.a little steep in cost but worth it.as a parts associate in a Harley Davidson dealer, in a twin cam Dyna you use 4 qts in the engine, FORMULA + in the transmission (1 qt if 6 speed, 18-20oz if 5 speed) and FORMULA + ALSO in the primary. We sell the most of engine oil HARLEY DAVIDSON BRAND 20w50 for engine, formula + is a oil on its own, very light weight. If you use synthetic, you should use in ALL 3 areas though. and I would stick to the Harley Davidson brand oil.
The filter may bolt on, and look like it fits, but the filtering element inside is much fine than the one made for your EVO engine. Your engine will probably not be able to flow enough oil through the filter to keep it from backing up oil in to the lower end and making a mess, plus cost you power.
