The Honda CR250R owner's manual that accompanies new bike purchases lists the NGK BR8EG as the recommended standard spark plug and the NGK BR8EV as the recommended optional plug. The NGK website, however; no longer lists the BR8EV as an available item. As of October 2009, the NGK product listing identifies the BR8EG as the "race" version and the BR8ES as the "standard".
The spark plug gap for a 1986 Honda CR250 should be set at .024 inches. This is equal to .6 mm.
