You have to know three things, the transmission type, the transfer case type, The rear axle gear ratio. Also in some cases, the underdrive. Enter the information in the site linked below and you will get your answers.
The Honda TRX450R features a five-speed transmission with gear ratios of 1st gear at 3.33:1, 2nd at 2.33:1, 3rd at 1.72:1, 4th at 1.36:1, and 5th at 1.00:1. The final drive ratio is typically around 3.86:1, depending on the specific model year. These ratios are designed to provide a balance of acceleration and top speed, making it suitable for various off-road conditions.

The gear ratio is the number of teeth in the driven gear divided by the number of teeth in the drive gear.
The 1992 Mitsubishi 3000GT typically features a 5-speed manual transmission with gear ratios approximately as follows: 1st gear is about 3.09:1, 2nd gear is around 1.89:1, 3rd gear is approximately 1.29:1, 4th gear is about 0.97:1, and 5th gear is roughly 0.75:1. For the automatic transmission variant, the gear ratios may differ slightly. These ratios contribute to the vehicle's performance characteristics, balancing acceleration and fuel efficiency.

Yes, they often are. Gear ratios and anatomical ratios are usually expressed in decimal numbers in relation to one.
Depends on the engine at what it's cruised at, revolutions per mile of the tires, transmission gear ratios, and rear end gear ratios.

The final drive gear ratio for the Valkyrie is 2.833 from what I have found in 5 different sites..(though I don't have those site available at the moment) I also found that the goldwing has a 2.75? final gear ratio, and different 4th and 5th gear ratios..wonder if they'll interchange??
There is no way to change gear ratios.
