AYP (American Yard Products) manufactures a variety of outdoor power equipment and related products. Its brands include Craftsman, Husqvarna, and Poulan Pro, among others. AYP focuses on producing lawn mowers, snow blowers, and other gardening equipment. The company caters to both residential and commercial markets, emphasizing reliability and performance in its product offerings.
The AYP TS2051D mower is typically crossed with models like the Craftsman 917. Parts and components may also be compatible with other brands that use AYP manufacturing, such as Husqvarna and Poulan. For precise compatibility, it's best to consult the owner's manual or a parts retailer.

From what I can discern, AYP makes Husqvarna, Craftsmen, and Poulan...pretty sure of those plus perhaps Husky and Weedeater.

AYP is American Yard Products which is a division of the Swedish conglomerate Electrolux. It is the part that makes the lion's share of the Craftsman products. It has two factories I kknow of, one in Orangeburg, SC and one in Swannsboro, GA. Electrolux owns a good deal of the outdoor power equipment market; being one of three major players in the mass merchandise market. The other two are MTD and Briggs & Stratton, who for years played a "hands-off" role but had to change course when economic conditions threatened the existenence of many brands. Briggs owns Simplicity, Snapper, Murray(which has its machines actually made by AYP now), etc. Eletrolux owns Husqvarna, AYP, Partner, Poulan, WeedEater, etc. MTD owns the trademark on 120 some brands, last I heard, and can make machines under any of them like Yardman, Mastercraft, Lawn Chief, Task Force, etc. There are the premium brands still in the market as well like John Deere.
Usually you can find them by the manufacture that makes them.
