That's correct for a few days or even weeks but leave it months or years and a few things happen depending on where it is kept. Over a number of months the battery will slowly go flat. Also any fuel left in the carb(s) will evaporate and can leave a residue that will block the jets when you try to start it, which will either make it not start or run rough. Leave it for years and you will find corrosion can stick the rings and piston in the bore and it wont turn over any more. There is plenty of information about on how to "Lay up" any vehicle that will not be used for an extended period.
So will you!!

Nothing realy.. with the choke on the engine receives more fuel making it easier to run with a cold motor. after starting the engine, wait about two minutes before turning it off.
There are many motorcycle accidents that happen every year. It is very dangerous for both seasoned bikers and those who are new to the sport. You can see some statistics here: http://www.webbikeworld.com/Motorcycle-Safety/motorcycle-accident-statistics.htm
you would have to pay for everything out of pocket
No, that will never happen.
Up until the time that your motorcycle is actually repossessed, the dealer will be happy to receive your payments, even if they are late, and will allow you to keep the motorcycle. But if you wait too long the repossession will happen.
Motorcycle accidents mostly occur at intersections. Wherever two streets or roadways come together is considered an intersection. From the end of the driveway to the street, constitutes an intersection. This is the most common place where motorcycle accidents occur.
Two things which can commonly cause this to happen are: 1) Battery - go to any local battery place and they will test your battery 2) Dirty carburetor - this is most commonly a problem if you have old gas sitting in the scooter over the winter. Go to a scooter/motorcycle mechanic and get the carburetor cleaned The good news is that both these remedies should cost less than $100
