Both are commonly used as fuel for diesel engines and have similar properties, including being derived from crude oil. The main difference lies in the terminology used in different regions.
Gasoil and kerosene are both types of refined petroleum products used for heating and fuel purposes, so they are generally compatible in terms of being used in similar applications. However, it's important to check the specifications and requirements of the specific equipment or system you are using them in to ensure they are suitable for use with either gasoil or kerosene. Any doubts should be clarified with the manufacturer or a professional.
