Most any belt can be taken to almost any auto parts store and they'll sell you one for a lot less than the mfgr. It'll fit and the last one I bought ran for two years on a lawn tractor that was used to haul dirt and firewood.

The solenoid on a Craftsman lawn mower or tractor is typically located near the battery or starter motor. It is a cylindrical component with two large terminals for battery connections and is often mounted on the frame of the mower. To access it, you may need to remove the engine cover or other components, depending on the model. Always refer to the specific owner's manual for your Craftsman model for precise location and instructions.
You can find a wiring schematic for an 88 Craftsman GT ride on lawn mower at various tractor supply stores. You can also find it in the mower's owner's manual.
