If it's the stock motor, there is no drain plug under the crankcase. If it's aftermarket there might be a plug to drain oil from the crankcase, which would seldom if ever be necessary.
The drain plug is located in the frame itself, under the right side of the bike. Use a 5/8 socket
Tube inside left side cover
There is no such bike. In '92 there was an FXR Super Glide, an FXDC Dyna Glide Custom, or an FXDB Dyna Daytona. Do you mean oil drain plug? If the bike is, indeed a Dyna, there's a plug on the bottom of the oil tank which is below the transmission. If it's an FXR the drain hose for the oil tank is under the left side plastic cover.
The oil drain is located behind the left sidecover. There you will see a hose with a metal plug in the end held in place by a clamp. Loosen the clamp, remove the plug and oil will drain from the tank.
To change the oil on a 1987 FXR, start by warming up the engine slightly to thin the oil for easier draining. Then, place a drain pan under the oil pan, remove the oil drain plug, and let the old oil drain completely. Replace the drain plug, remove the old oil filter using an oil filter wrench, and install a new filter with a bit of oil on the rubber gasket. Finally, refill the engine with the appropriate type and amount of new oil through the oil fill cap.
the oil tank is located under the seat check thebottom of the oil tank in the middle on the bottom and if you cant locate it there follow the hoses that come off of it and you canpinch the hose loosen it and then put the loosened end of hose into something to catch the old oil , then let it all drain then tighten it back up and you should be good to go again look under the oil tank first for a drain nut. hope this helps....mil
