I've always used at least DOT 3 so DOT 4 would be fine as well I'd imagine. If you don't feel comfortable with those you can always use the Honda brake fluid.

Usually the cap of the reservoir will till you what kind of fluid, probably brake fluid, and how much to put in. Or if you look on the side of the reservoir there is a line for max fluid level.
More than likely DOT3. If you will look on the top of the Master Cylinder cap, you will find the proper fluid listed.
