20-50wt perfered motorcycle oil
alot of ducati guys that i have met use motorex its from Switzerland but motul is one of the best if not the best out there
oil type SAE 20W-50 for the 600cc engine you'll need 3.1 liters (according to the manual)
Good oil
Honda motor oil 10 w40 sj only
Ducati engines are unitized designs, meaning that the engine and transmission use the same oil and oiling system. There is no separate drain plug nor oil fill for the transmission and engine.
it calls for 850 cc of trans oil but operates better with 750. it is less likely to blow oil out the vent when at sustained high speeds with 750. use motorcycle engine oil type ma or 2 stroke transmission oil. as for premix use a motorcycle industry name brand at 40:1 to 50:1.
3.5L for the BiP or 4.0L for the SP/R
40 WEIGHT BUT NOT ENERGY CONSERVING ( CAUSES CLUTCH TO SLIP).
SAE 10w30 Full Synthetic, any major brand.
Any JASO-MA or MA2 approved oil of weight 10-40 W or 15-40 W will do.
In cold months use 10W30. In hot weather use 20/50.
The factory service manual states to use 10w-40 for normal operating condition of the motorcycle. But depending on how the 2005 Gsx-r is being used the type of oil can change.
