man, if you cant find the battery -- put down the wrench -- step away from the motorcycle -- and take it to a shop. if you turn that wrench, it'll cost you more in the end. but its under the seat, in front of the conuter valve. D
Is the voltage regulator any good? If it is, you could have a short anywhere on the bike.
