The ZL 900 Eliminator got bad critics from the too small gas tank - you couldn't "get out of town with it". Passenger seat was too small and uncomfortable. In the time Kawasaki redesigned the bike to the ZL 1000, the Yamaha V-max had made it's way with all it's improvements. The Yamaha V-Max 1200 is generally considered faster than the Kawasaki ZL1000. The V-Max is known for its powerful V4 engine and impressive acceleration, often achieving 0-60 mph in about 3 seconds. While the ZL1000 is a capable cruiser, it typically has a lower top speed and slower acceleration compared to the V-Max. Overall, the V-Max's performance metrics make it the quicker of the two motorcycles.
