every motor has a powereband. i got a 03 85sx, and a 04 105sx and they got a powerband from hell, made for some serious damage. make sure your gas to oil ratio is rite. also dont use cheap 2-cycle, invest $12 on a pint, i promise you, that beast got a badass powerband extream3d87@Yahoo.com
If your exhaust valve happens to be stuck open or shut this will drastically make you lose power band, if you use low grade oils they cause your power valve to get sticky, then you should dissassemble and clean it
