One of two reasons, it will blink if you have not set up the correct time, or because you are having battery problems. Apparently the battery helps keep the time on trip counter in memory. If you're battery is not holding a charge then your time and trip counter aren't stored. At least that was my problem. If it is a charging issue, check to make sure with a voltmeter that your ATV is charging, if it is then check to make sure you don't have any loose connections at your battery, if everything looks fine, than you probably need to get a new battery.
To reset the oil change light, hold down the odometer and clock buttons for a few seconds. (with the ignition turned on).

I have a rubicon 2004 the oil capacity is 5.2 to 5.5 quarts. You have to put 5 quarts in and crank the 4 wheeler and let it run for 1 minute and check the oil as soon as you turn the engine off to see if you need to add .2 or .5 to your rubicon. The ? is about a Honda Rubicon ATV.
