Any engine will fit ANY car.. depending on how much work you want to do .. this would be a conversion for those hiding when they allocated the brains... a std Riley 1.5 B series engine wieghs almost twice that of an A series and produces less power than 1275 cc a series which is a direct bolt in.. so whats the point? who wants a rear wheel drive mini?...( the 1.5 has the box behind engine and wont fit any other way) for less work you could fit an 1800'land crab' power unit ..or that from a "maxi" .. either would be less than smart.. so i dont know your game .. for more mini power fit a later model power unit with increased capacity (ie 1275cc) ..if you want a road rocket then fit a Honda CRX unit (conversion kits available for this) my advice if you have a surplus Riley 1.5 motor is take it to your local metal recycler.. its obsolete junk.. fine in'57... but things have evolved somewhat since then..
