The two European countries that fought over the territory that became Canada were France and Britain. France colonized parts of Canada first and then Britain stepped in. This is why there is such an influence from French culture in Canada.
Argentina had influence on the rest of the world in WWII. They sent thousands of cattle to Britain free of charge. They were criticized for their actions since people in their own country were suffering from malnutrition.
Argentina invaded the Falkland Islands which Britain claims as their territory.
The Falkland Islands are a self-governing territory of the United Kingdom. Argentina has laid claim to the islands and mounted a military invasion in 1982, but the islands were retaken by Britain. The Falkland Islands' nearest island is approximately 350 miles east of the coast of Argentina,
France, Australia, Norway, Britain, Argentina and Chile claim territory on Antarctica.
Argentina was tough enough to take on Britain during the Falklands War in 1982.
Britain never colonised Argentina, Spain did.
The Falkland Islands are a British Overseas Territory in the South Atlantic and were originally part of the British Empire. The Falklands are occupied mostly by people of British descent and have been for about 200 years. In a referendum, 97% of the islanders voted to remain a British Overseas Territory. However, Argentina has long claimed sovereignty of the islands and in fact invaded the islands in 1982. Britain sent a military task force to retake the islands with considerable loss of life on both sides of the conflict. Argentina is still pressing for sovereignty of the islands and the islanders are still overwhelmingly adamant that they want to remain affiliated to Britain. It is unlikely that Argentina will try to retake the islands again, particularly as Britain now has a much bigger military presence on the islands than they did in 1982.
Permanent population is about 18 people and territory is under the jurisdiction of Great Britain, although Argentina claims it as its own.

When Rome had to withdraw troops from Britain in order to defend the home territory, the law and consequently Roman authority crumbled.
It is Argentina.
