Most laptops today have wireless cards built into them so that you don't need to buy an adapter and you can pick up a signal from any wireless router.
Yes you can use memory cards to take information from one PS3 to another. This is true for all PS3s. There is no difference between any saved data on the PS3 fat and the PS3 slim.
Yes, YDL has access to the usb/bluetooth ports of the PS3 so you shouldnt have any problems

If the PS3 is already wireless then it should connect to any internet network via a wireless router. Sony's PS3 support site has all the information you need for your setup.
yes there is and they work for any system ( like capture cards are supposed to )
If you don't want to have to use your computer, there are external capture cards available. Yet they are a little bit more expensive then an internal video capture card.
I believe that the PS3 has wireless capability for controllers. If you don't have a PS3 wireless controller, then buy one at any electronics store. The wired controllers have a USB connection at the end of it.
If you go to setting, scroll ALL the way down to network settings there should be Internet connection set this to wireless and it should scan for a wireless connection then you must enter your password etc...
Any wireless router will do, you don't one specifically for the ps3. Ergo, Best Buy, Future Shop, &c. will do just fine.
It will use memory cards from any playstation.
