So far it cannot be. ESP, whether real or fake, simply cannot be tested and this is what separates it from being part of psychology. Like all other pseudosciences, ESP does not adhere to the scientific or academic standards of psychology.

I would recommend that you do not take ESP seriously; it has never been confirmed by any honest scientific investigation, and those who claim to have such abilities are generally in the business of defrauding the public. Of course, as a student of psychology, you might be interested in understanding why people are so easy to deceive about matters such as ESP.
Psychology was not considered a real science because there wasn't a way to actually prove it. also, when it was recognized as a real science, there was no way of approaching it.
