well I don't think a 10 year old should ever see a rated R movie (it's like that for a reason)! Especially when if it's rated that way, when it isn't Horror movie or something...that pretty much means ANYTHING can be in that movie. Your 10 year old is still too young to watch movies like those. When you child is in 8th grade or in high school; maybe then...it just depends on the type of movie and where your protective levels lie.
