Knowing Massachusetts, probably. Still it would be a good idea to check with your local law enforcement and maybe a local lawyer to be sure. Most cops I think would be fine with it as long as the spray wasn't misused. If it is misused, however, there would be consequences.

Something else to consider are personal alarms. While they don't have the same deterrent effect as pepper spray, they do signal that someone needs help. There aren't many adults I know who wouldn't help a minor and a screeching alarm is a good way to get that help.

Minors can carry pepper spray in Ohio, but that does not mean they can't be charged with an offense. It would not be legal to carry pepper spray in to any State or Federal building-like a school. The problem with minors(-or anyone) carrying anything which can be used as a weapon is intent. And intent is open to debate and usually you can't debate a Law Enforcement Official. For example, I could take my Baseball bat to my local baseball park to play baseball but if I was wielding the same bat around a ATM at 9pm at night, the intent looks to be there to commit a crime.
That's kind of iffy. I'm pretty sure if a minor used pepper spray to keep themselves from harm, it would be OK. If, on the other hand, they did something irresponsible with it, they'd probably get in trouble. Talk to law enforcement in your area and get input from them. Be aware that certain counties and municipalities have laws restricting the use and/or possession of pepper spray. Be sure you know yours.

Something else to consider are personal alarms. They don't carry the penalties of pepper spray and are almost as effective. At the very least they'll get people's attention and few adults would not intervene if a minor were involved in a situation.

For the most part, yes. You do have to have an adult buy it for you, but it is something that you can carry on your person. Just a fair warning. Using pepper spray except in case of self defense can get you a charge of assault. So no spraying your friends, even as a joke. If you cant to learn more about pepper sprays visit my blog Best Defense at the link provided below. Hope this helps.

"Pepper" was a nickname bestowed upon her by Tony when they first met. While working in the secretarial pool she discovered a small error he made on an accounting document, and when she went to show him personally Tony's bodyguards did not want to let her into his office. She threatened to pepper spray them (though she really had none) to get inside. Amused by the obvious lie, Tony lets her in and looks at the mistake, hires her as his assistant on the spot, and calls her Pepper from then on.
