Nope. Sorry. Sony dropped PS2 support a few years ago because people were still buying the PS2. Here's a fully PS2 compatible PS3 from a few years ago.

By the way, Motorstorm is a great game! Hope this helped!

No. You could do that or you could download tht ps2 thing in the PlayStation Store that lets you play ps2 games in the ps3 system kk guys.

The PS3 slim and most of the fat PS3s do not play PS2 games and there is nothing that will change that. If you do not have a PS3 with a Card reader and 4 USB ports you will never be able to play PS2 games on it, except the few PS2 games sold at the Playstation store and already converted into PS3 games
The first PS3 had 4 USB ports and they were backward compatible all the Fat PS3 with 2 USB ports lack both the hardware and the software to play PS2 games. The PS3 slim also does not have this feature, but it was lost more than a year before the PS3 slim was released back in 2008 and even in November 2007 for the 40 GB model YES as long as the ps3 is not the ps3 SLIM because the people who buit the ps3 SLIM did not do it but on the NOT SLIM ps3 you can feel free to do so. Totally untrue
Yes, PS3 Slim can play Rock Band.
The longer electronic items are made the cheaper they are to produce. That is one reason the PS3 is now selling for the USA retail price of $299.99 for the PS3 slim 120 GB model when a few years ago Sony was selling the PS3 for twice that and losing over $200 a unit. see related links.
The fat ps2's in my opinion play better than the slimline ones
The PS3 slim 120 model does not play PS2 games and there is no hardware or software or downloads you can get that will change that.
Yes they can and they can also play on the new slim released in May 2010. They really are only PS3 games and not games for the slim or fat PS3
No the new PS3 slim can not play PS2 games. To make the PS3 profitable and have it quit selling for a loss Sony stopped making PS3s that could play PS2 games long before the release of the PS3 slim. The only reason you could ever play PS2 games on the first PS3s was the game catalog for the PS3 was next to nothing. Once the catalog of games increased they dropped the ability to play PS2 games.
None the PS3 slim does not play PS2 games
The PS3 slim will not play PS2 games with full backwards compatibly.
All PS3 models can play PS3 games and also select PS1 games
Yup, the ps3 slim will play ps3 games. It is the same as a normal ps3 but has a slimmer look to it but most regular ps3s has more memory.
yes
The fourth Generation of PS3s are the 120 GB and 250 GB PS3 slim model which do not play PS2 games with Backward Compatibility. All PS3 models play PlayStation 1 Games and do so through software emulation.
In short, the 250GB PS3 Slim console WILL play PS1 games but WILL NOT play PS2 games. No PS3 model with 2 USB ports will play PS2 games and can not be made to play them through hardware or software updates or any other changes The 120 GB and 250 GB are older models of PS3 Slim and the new Slim Model PS3s still do not Play PS2 games, but have 160 GB and 320 GB harddrives and sell for $250 and $300 in the USA Every PS3 will play PS1 games. Only the 20GB, 60GB, and the early 1st 80GB PS3s will play PS2 games. They all had 4 USB ports
you can`t
ps3 slim is not as big as the original. however you cannot play ps2 games on it.
