It's illegal to distributecopyrighted material for a profit, so I would say no because their is always some kind of charge/fee associated with movie rentals or else the movies would never be returned.

I place mine on a book shelf standing on end away from the tv set and the stereo equipment as the magnetism can erase them. When was Turner Classic Movies created?
In 1986, media mogul Ted Turner, purchased the majority of the MGM film and television library. Because of his debt load, he could not keep the MGM name and resold that and a number of other assets but he kept all of the MGM library of pre 1986 films and Warner Brothers pre 1950 library, all of the RKO library and some of the United Artists library. Turner started broadcasting the library on Turner Network Television (TNT) and began 'colorizing' some of the old black and white classics. That wasn't as popular as the company had hoped; upon hearing that Turner was planning to colorize 'Citizen Kane', Orson Wells is quoted as saying, "Tell Turner to keep his goddamned Crayolas away from my film!".
