It may be very difficult to find the Book of Psalms in Aramaic since the Psalms were composed in Hebrew and not translated until the time of the Septuagint (and then only to Greek and Syriac). As far as I am aware, such a thing does not exist, but keep looking.
Specifically the "Eli, Eli, Lama Sabachtani?" is the Aramaic Translation of Psalm 22:2 which in Hebrew is "Eli, Eli, Lama Azavtani?" and in English is "My God, My God, why have you forsaken me?"
King David wrote the book of Psalms. Many of the Psalms are incorportated into the daily and sabbath prayers.
Biblical tradition ascribed much of the Book of Psalms to King David. However, scholars say that the psalms were a literary genre unknown at the time attributed to David. They say that they were really written over a period of more than two hundred years, during and after the Babylonian Exile. Moreover many of the psalms so attributed are anomalous when placed in the biblical context of David, while others show clear evidence of having been written during the Babylonian Exile or thereafter. David did not help write the Book of Psalms or any other book in the Bible.
If King David was a real person who ruled at the very beginning of the tenth century BCE, he might have spoken a form of proto-Hebrew, which would have been no more than a dialect of the parent Canaanite language. Hebrew, as a separate language, is believed to have developed no earlier than about 900 BCE.
At one stage, all the Psalms were attributed to King David, but now only about 73 Psalms have superscriptions identifying him as the putative author. Even some of the Psalms still attributed to David clearly make historical references that must place them long after the tenth century BCE.Biblical scholars say that the Psalms were all written many centuries after the time of David.
A:Tradition attributes many of the Psalms to King David, although biblical scholars say he was quite unlikely to have contributed to any of the Psalms. In any case, Psalm 100 is not one of the Psalms said to have been written by David.Jewish answer:Jewish tradition is that all of the unnamed Psalms were authored by King David. Even Psalms with other authors are attributed to him, since he incorporated them into the canon of prayers and praises; otherwise they would likely have been lost.Psalms 100 is a Psalm of praise, which is what King David had in mind as its purpose. It was to be recited when ascending to the Holy Temple.
