Mangas are popular in US but only those mangas done in Japan...In Japan writing and drawing manga is a good payed job, but in US I think nobody pays much money for manga artist...Reason in Japan children reads manga and if manga becomes popular than they make anime based on manga, than if anime becomes more popular than manga, they sell it world wide first stop US...Children and anime fans in US first saw animes like Naruto, Bleach DB etc, and than they heard bout manga on which those anime were based, so they want to read it to compare and see what was rooth of their favorite anime...So manga artist is prominent job in Japan, in US it is prominent to work for DC and draw superheros...

Yes if you get a subscriber card or something you can get them at anime conventions
Anime isn't really a novel. They're shows about different things and different time lines. Just like a movie but with multiple plots in them.Although anime does come in the form of video and what's known as a manga (Japanese comic book.)Lately there have been some series that have been turned into graphic novels because some people enjoy reading them ^^For more info on anime + fun visit us at peach-jello.com
from wiki Makoto Raiku (雷句誠 ,Raiku Makoto?, born 1974-08-23 in Gifu, Japan) is a manga artist whose works have appeared prominently in Shogakukan's publication Shonen Sunday. Starting off an assistant for Kazuhiro Fujita on his manga Ushio & Tora, he started creating several one-shots for the shonen manga anthology such as Bird Man(about a young pilot), Hero Ba-Ban (about a cheerful, but weak superhero) and Genmai Blade (about a teenage medicinal exorcist, of which he created both a one-shot and a two-part story). By 1999, he had created the series Newtown Heroes, which was published in Shonen Sunday Super, a seasonal publication featuring upcoming mangaka and one-shots from the main Sunday book.he's most commonly known for Konjiki no Gash Bell or Zatch Bell in the US
U.S. Manga ended in 1997.
Tokyopop has a few manga artists in the US. Mark Crilley, a popular How-to-draw manga artist and has a Youtube channel, has his own series.
Naruto
naruto, one piece, dragon ball z, fullmetal alchemist
Not sure where to find shonen jump , but if you want to read random mangas such as death note, naruto, bleach etc. etc. etc. go onto www.onemanga.com or www.mangafox.com you can read them all online for free. They upload Jump and other magazines as they come out. :D. Have fun!!! Kinokuniya Bookstore in Singapore carries the Japanese magazines in their Japanese book section in their flagship store in Orchard Road, so it is likely that the Kinokuniya in KLCC Petronas Towers will have the same service. Jump Square and V-Jump have been seen there before, but not Weekly Shounen Jump, likely because they are snapped up very fast. It would be in Japanese text though. Singapore's Comics Connection (comics chain store) has been known to bring in the US-version of Shounen Jump in the past (i.e. English language), but it is not known whether they are still doing this. Whether the contents are identical to the original Japanese is also not known.
It is called "manga." There has been no "'pronunciation' translation" to English, at least as of yet.
