Lamp cord is not certified for use other than for connection of lamps to a receptacle outlet. Cabtire can be used if the system is portable and temporary, to wire the remote heads. For a permanent installation usually the power pack unit has a plug on it and it plugs into a receptacle that is positioned beside the power pack. For remote heads, they are hard wired out of the power pack to junction boxes where the remote heads are to be located. Even though the heads are low voltage wire the system to electrical code standards.
The type of wire you are looking for is called lamp cord. It comes in different colours usually to match the fixture. Fixtures hanging from chains use a clear insulation so as to blend in with the fixture chain colour. Remember that the smooth wire of the lamp cord connects to the hot wire and the ribbed wire on the lamp cord connects to the neutral wire in the ceiling junction box.
Check the park lamp fuse.
As per the formula for power (Power (Watt) = Voltage (V) x Current (i) & Resistance (R) = V / i), 25w lamp bulb would have higher resistance compared to that of 5w lamp bulb.
A lamp A fan and a bunch of other thingsAnswerThe classic example of a series circuit is a string of Christmas-tree lights. They are connected in series if, when one lamp burns out, all the lights go out.

Lamps use what is called a power cord. Power cords connect the appliance (in this case, a lamp) to a wall socket and the electrical field causes the filiment in the light bulb to beam.
Lamp cord is #18 in size and is rated for 10 amps. This type of wire is strictly for use on lamps only and not to be used for power wiring.

A power cord, line cord, or mains cable is a cable that temporarily connects an appliance to the mains electricity supply via a wall socket or extension cord. The terms are generally used for cables using a power plug to connect to a single-phase alternating current power source at the local line voltage"(generally 100 to 240 volts, depending on the location). The terms power cable, mains lead, flex or kettle lead are also used. A lamp cord is a light weight ungrounded two wire cord used for small loads such as a table or floor lamp. The term cord set is also used to distinguish those cords that include connectors molded to the cord at each end.
It could be a loudspeaker polarised plug.
Check your fuse box almost guaranteed you have a blown fuse.
Are you saying that you plug in a lamp and another lamp on that extension cord goes dimmer? If so then the extension cord wire is of a smll guage size and causing a voltage drop from the outlet to the cord output.
