Catching ditto is so hard. but it is easy for everyone i ask. Is there a trick?

ditto can be caught at any grass patch randomly
^^^^^^WRONG! Totaly wrong!
To catch ditto in diamond or pearl you have to go to route 218, there will be a large patch of grass, walk into it, then, the important bit, use the poke radar. Some of the patches of grass will wiggle, go into any of them, if it's not a ditto, defeat it and go into another patch of wiggling grass, repeat in till ditto reveals itself, it might take you a while, I think it took me about half an hour the first time I did it! hope I helped!
Oh, incidentally, you have to have the nationaldex to do this ^^
For platinum you have to talk to Mr. Backlot in his mansion near hearthrome city, he will say a Pokemon has appeared in his garden, they're lots of different types that could appear, about 13, but in that list somewhere is ditto, if he didn't say ditto, come back the next day and try again, if he did, give a good search in his garden, although there's only a 5%chance that ditto will appear in the garden. You also need the national dex for this as well!

to breed a Pokemon, you must catch a ditto in a patch of grass to the right of canaclave. then walk 50 steps and use your pokeradar( you need to get your national pokedex first) and keep on looking for ditto. it should be easy to catch at lvl 29... then you put the ditto and the desired Pokemon in the day care and wait for a while. then on your pokething you should see an egg. hope that helps! Doesn't work on legendaries!
