No, because of the release of the PS3 soon before the game came out, playstation thought they could get more people to buy the PS3 by putting all the best games on just the PS3. This is not true and is a myth the PS3 came out with better gaming capabilities and the PS2 just could not play the same games, but it is true that the best games were made for the PS3 because of the new capabilities.
It's very simple to understand these new games were also made into PC games and only some of the newer PC's could play them. PC owners have no trouble understanding that there older PC's could no longer play the newest games, but PS2 and Nintendo Wii owners want there consoles to continue to play the same games that are no longer technically possible.
MW1 is on these platforms: Xbox 360, PS3, PC and Wii . Actually the MW1 is not on the Nintendo Wii, the Nintendo Wii also is not technically capable of playing MW1 and so they had Treyarch make Modern Warfare Reflex Edition for the Nintendo Wii
