Run, don't walk to the venue that issued the order for support and file a petition/motion to suspend/abate support.

On the other hand, if you cannot afford to help feed, clothe and educate the child you already have, perhaps you should consider not having more children...beyond the one you are about to deliver, that is.

Will you have to pay child support for a 17 year if they choose to live with the noncustodial parent in Ohio?

Child support in Ohio usually continues until the child is 18, and up to the age of 21 if the child is in school. Whether or not you have to pay child support if the child is living with the noncustodial parent depends on the support order that it is in place Typically you can expect that you will have to expect to pay support.

Do you have to pay child support if the child is in boarding school?

What, boarding school is free? Yes, you have to pay your child support payments regardless of where the child is living. They are used to support the child regardless of where they are living.

What is the definition of child support?

Generally, in a divorce when one parent is awarded the custody of the children, the other parent is ordered to pay child support so the child can share in the standard of living of both parents. It is the amount of money the non custodial parent must pay to help meet the expenses associated with raising their child on a daily basis. When determining the amount of child support, the courts must consider the state child support guidelines, the parents' income and earning capacity and the amount of time the children spend with either parent. Child support must be paid until the child is 18 years of age. If the child is living with the receiving parent and is in high school, child support will end when the child completes 19 years of age or graduates whichever occurs first.

Do you still pay child support on child who become s pregnant?

I am not an attorney or legal specialist. But If you are receiving child support at 20 are you receiving back child support owed from years that the parent skipped while you were a child? If you are receiving back child support then I would think not. If you are still receiving child support on your self at 20 and are pregnant , I would think that it would stop. Being pregnant is an adult action. I am not sure what state you live in but I would check the Divorce decree of your parents .AnswerIf you (or actually, I guess your parent) still receive child support at 20, then I imagine it's because you're still in school. If that's the case, and you remain in school and do not become 'emancipated' (for example through marriage), then I don't think a pregnancy would have any effect on the child support order. Check with a local attorney.

Is a non custodial parent living in Florida obligated to pay child support to a child living in New York until the age of 21 if they are in school?

You only have to pay support up till the age of 18 then they are no longer a child but an adult you may have to split the college but that should be arranged by the court

In Texas can you file child support on yourself?

No. If you are under 18 and not graduated from high school, you should live with either of your parents. If you attempt to file child support for yourself, the court can make you live with the parent that you request child support from, if you are not already living with your custodial parent.

Do you still pay child support when your child is 18 and still in high school?

How do you stop child support when the child is not living with the parent that is getting the child support?

You file a petition at the court. If it is simply outside of the support orders that you have, then you may or may not need legal help. If the child has not completed high school, attempt to make that or a GED happen--your responsibility as a parent.

What if the custodial parent has no children living with her but gets child support?

That parent probably should not be receiving 'Child Support' then, unless it is back child support that the other parent owed from beforehand or the children in question are attending school (including post secondary, even if they are not living at home anymore). Different jurisdictions have different rules, however, so you'll have to consult a lawyer familiar with the appropriate laws.

If a 21 year old full time student lives on their own is the custodial parent entitled to child support?

If the support order included a provision continuing support while the child was enrolled in college it does not matter where the child is living, as the support is to reimburse the custodial parent for the non custodial parents share of the child's expenses. If the child is attending school the custodial parent is likely still paying expenses for that child regardless of where they are living

Can a pregnant 17 year old legally move out of her parent's home if she remains in school and can support herself in NC?

She can if she has their permission. Or if she has obtained an order of emancipation from the court. Just being pregnant does not change the requirements to move out.

Does noncustodial parent has to pay child support even if the child had dropped out of school and living with her boyfriend but not a custodial parent?

Yes, depending on state laws. But, a motion to modify can be presented to the court. see links

Im 14 and pregnant will you get in trouble if you dont go to school?

It is important to prioritize your education even while pregnant. It is recommended to discuss your situation with a trusted adult, such as a parent, teacher, or school counselor, who can help provide support and guidance on how to balance school and pregnancy. There are usually options and resources available to help pregnant students continue their education.

If your 18 and still in school and living with a parent can they kick me out?

Absolutely

Do you have to pay child support for a person who is 21?

Not usually, but there are some cases in which you might. 1. Some states require the non-custodial parent to continue to pay child support if the child hasn't graduated high school and is still living with the custodial parent. 2. If the child is disabled, there is no cut off age for ending child support. The non-custodial parent will continue to owe child support for as long as the disabled child lives with the custodial parent.

If i am pregnant at 16 can i quit school?

At 16 you need a parent to sign for you to drop out of school. You can sign yourself out when you turn 18. Being pregnant has nothing to do with it.
