Does Damon in The Vampire Diaries die?

Technically, he's a vampire, so he's already dead. Jokes aside, in the books, he never dies.

And in the TV series?

As of early May 2011, the series is still running and it's yet to be seen whether Damon dies.

probably not seen as he is one of the three main characters and if they want to keep the show going they wont kill him off after only 2 seasons

he better not die as he is lush boii, He is amazing and he shouldn't die because he is fit and he's the best of all vampires xox XD better than edward cullen any day xoxox

Nobody really knows, at the end of the show he just disappears next to Elena's side, but is shown most likely having found peace when reuniting with his brother, which leads to many people being confused.
