In South Africa Rainfall depends upon the region. Starting from South the Cape Province has a Mediterranean type of climate and rains during Winter season ( May/June/July/August ) and the average rain is normal . In the desert regions like Karroo rains very little. In the Qua-Zulu Natal there is more than enough rain and the region is normally very green. In the Johannesburg/ Pretoria region that is the financial heartland of South Africa rains mainly in Summer ( November/December/January/February) and the rain is normally average . This is a Subtropical climate. In general South Africa has less rainfall to satisfy the needs of the country. With the warming of the Globe rain fall patterns started changing for the worst. I hope a weather expert can give more details.
In Western South Africa the rainy season is in Winter, the rest of South African experience summer rainfall except coastal Kwa-Zulu Natal which gets rain almost year round

The Sahara is a desert and thus has no rain forests or savannas. Rain forests in Africa are located mainly in the equatorial regions, especially around the Congo River Basin. The African savannas are transition regions between forests and more arid or desert climates. They are found around the African woodlands and rain forests, the most prominent of the savannas being the Serengeti in Tanzania and Kenya.
False. South Africa doesnt have much forest. Most forest grows along the coastal areas. Furthermore, what woodland growing in south africa would not be defined as rain forest (the rainfall is not great enough). Rainforests only grow in equatorial africa.
