I wish they would bring back this game show...(they've "brought back" other shows, I cannot see why not this one. It would be really "neat" if they brought it back to the likes of Gulfport, Mississippi as I just returned from there and there looked like some choice places to do such a show, and the economy could surely use the publicity!) was alot of fun and I sure did enjoy it! I am sure those who never saw the original show would certainly like it if it was offered. I must have watched every installment. I had searched for this program a number of times through the years and was so happy to see that someone else had mentioned it.
Yes I do--have never seen a rerun though. I really liked the show. Treasure Isle (game show, hosted by John Bartholomew Tucker) (ABC Daytime, 1967 - 1968 )
Paul Alter produced and directed this show from
a "lagoon set" at the Palm Beach "Colonnades Beach Hotel".
He also composed its THEME music.
In this game show couples paddled boats around a water lagoon
I BELIEVE THERE WAS THREE ISLANDS. THE LAST ISLAND THAT HELD THE TREASURE CHEST WAS THE BIGGEST OF THE THREE. THE "BOATS" were like inflatable rafts, and were YELLOW (Uh, how would I know that, had a black and white television, maybe someone said they were, who knows unless "you" had a color television back then.)??
set trying fit puzzle pieces together; apparently the waterlogged
action wasn't fast enough for viewers, since the series only lasted a single season). Theme: "Treasure Isle Theme"
[above is the title as filed for copyright;ASCAP title variations...aka: "Treasure Isle (Theme for TV Series)"] Composer: Paul Alter (ASCAP))
the benbow nooo... that was the inn that john was working in... the ship was the Hispaniola.
Assuming you mean "Treasure Island" by Robert Louis Stevenson, the treasure was put there by Captain Flint and his men. Flint being dead, it belongs to the crew. But, the treasure wasn't their property. It was stolen plunder. With the real owners being unable to trace, it would be considered abandoned property. With the lack of a local authority to accept the forfeit of all or part of the abandoned property (called "escheat"), it belongs to the finder. If you were to find a treasure nowadays, you would have to share it with the state if it is on state land or within three miles of the coast.
The show is called unexplained mysteries and it is their un-x report at the end of the show.

The treasure buried in Treasure Island is said to have been left behind by a notorious pirate called Captain Flint. The treasure is hidden on Skeleton Island, a fictional location within the story.
The doctor in Treasure Island is called Dr. Livesey. He is a wise and trustworthy character who plays a key role in the story.
The ship was called the Hispaniola in the book Treasure Island.

There is nothing to do on the small island, also called Skullduggery Island, until you have defeated Captain Crawfish. Once he is beaten, go back to the governor and get the map to the treasure, and a bone shovel. Return to the small island and follow the directions to find the buried treasure.
I remember that book. It was my favorite when I was a kid. I believe it was called "Asesino". I can't find it anywhere.
the climax is around the middle of the book-in the chapter called "what i heard in the apple barrel"
The pirate ship in Treasure Island is called the Hispaniola. It is on this ship that the adventure to find buried treasure unfolds, with Long John Silver and the crew setting sail with Jim Hawkins and the rest of the characters.
