Article 317 of the Indian Constitution relates to the appointment of a state Public Service Commission for the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir. It empowers the President of India to make provisions for the composition, appointment, and conditions of service of the members of the Commission. This article is part of the broader framework governing the administrative structure of Jammu and Kashmir, particularly following its reorganization in 2019. It does not specifically address broader issues related to the status or autonomy of Kashmir.
It is needed to keep separatists alive. To win Muslim votes in rest of India and show pseudo secularists (congress party) that we care for Muslims of INDIA. Congress has replaced British who believe in divide and rule. The end result of this is Kashmiris are deprived by state (not Delhi administration from development. A lot of money goes to quench separatists than development of the region. The youth is misguided by people like Geelani. Geelani needs protection by Indian security forces to live in kashmir and flame anti India protests.

Yes, Jammu and Kashmir historically had its own flag in addition to the national flag of India. The flag featured a red background with a white plough, symbolizing the agrarian identity of the region. I don't believe there was a story on the Shroud of Turin in National Geographic in 1978. However, there was an article in the June 1980 issue. In 1978 the Shroud went on public display for the first time since 1933 and the Shroud of Turin Research Project was given access to the cloth. The June 1980 article addressed the work of the STURP project team. In 1981 the findings were released.

I recently read an intriguing article in National Geographic about kayaking in Alaska, which highlighted the stunning landscapes and unique wildlife encountered along the way. The piece detailed the challenges and rewards of navigating the pristine waters, including encounters with glaciers and marine life. It emphasized the importance of conservation in these fragile ecosystems. Overall, the article inspired a deeper appreciation for the natural beauty and adventure that Alaska has to offer.
