A popular Western song originally recorded by Vaughn Monroe. It is hard to get, as director of a play called (Dark Rider) I tried without success, combing the record shops- to get a copy of the record- this was back in l972 when record stores were still viable- Like King Karol , downstairs, etc) and it was elusive.
The Western popular song dates to l947 or so populaized by Vaughn Monroe, Ghost riders inthe Sky. a Gunsmoke script with occult overtones(and no Gunplay) called the Dark Rider was written by one Robert Finch . I recall this well as we did this one in the Dramatic Club at school in l972 and it won the awards The marshal was a minor character, but as the plot dealt with a dying cowboy and his ghostly vision, the role of Dr. Adams was more prominent. The guy playing Adams had a Black vest and Black Stetson and a medical bag. others more Cowpoke attire, the Ghost Rider himself- who ironically was killed in an auto accident a couple of years later, had an allk white suit, (notyhig Dark here) and a White Stetson hat, neatly doffed as he entered the Bunkhouse! It is obvious the Marvel men took up these Western trails and were thus inspired. Ghost Riders in the Sky is a song, Dark Rider a Gunsmoke episode. Lots a luck and do keep you powder dry, black or smokeless- mercifully there was no gunplay in this (Gunsmoke) yarn.
If you mean Jason Hawes and Grant Wilson who are plumbers by day and ghost hunters by night, then it is on Sky Livingit.
