-Pitch: Highness or lowness of the sound (measured by frequency)

-Duration: How long the sound lasts

-Dynamics: Relative volume of the sound (measured by decibel)

-Timber: (Also known as Tone Color) Timber is the most subjective as it can't be directly measured. It could be explained as such: If a Guitar, Violin, Piano, and an Organ were to all play the exact same note as measured by Pitch, Duration, and Dynamics they would still each sound very different. Words that describe Timber: Dark, Bright, Smooth, Harsh. . . ect.

1. Pitch - Determined by the speed of the sound waves

2. Timbre - Different qualities, such as the the way a piano, Trumpet, or guitar

sound.

3. Intensity - Volume, Loud/Soft, How big the sound wave is.

4. Duration - The time the sound last.
