one note on Dc, and AC voltages? sure
A DC is a Direct current, which means more accuracy and power. The device using DC power will maintain its action for longer with more accuracy.
Whilst AC is commonly used for lights and other unimportant devices.
That's the first note i could come up with.
------------------------
DC is direct current which as the name implies, the electrons (of the current) flow in ONE direction.
AC is alternating current, which as the name implies, the current alternates and has a "useable/definable" frequency.
AC has no definite terminal (Positive or negative) as the direction of the current always changes. This frequent switching can be seen as a sine wave.
from the wall it could be 115v ac, or in non American countries that use it 230v ac. internal voltages range from 12v dc, 5v dc, 3.3v dc.
Voltages used are 1.5kV DC and 25kV AC for mainline trains
yes provided that power consumption is definedAnswerAC voltages are expressed as root-mean-square values, which are exactly equivalent to the corresponding value of a DC voltage. So a, say, 120-V incandescent lamp would operate at exactly the same brightness whether connected to 120 V (AC) or 120 V (DC). So, there is no such thing as a 'DC light bulb'!
megger are available in ac &dc
KCL is Common to both AC and DC. Only the waveform or AC and DC will differ
Like AC, DC can be at any voltage.
For measuring voltages, both Ac and Dc
On the side of the relay there is a name plate that tells you the current carrying capacity of the contacts. It gives you the ratings at different AC voltages and a DC rating of the contacts at different voltages.
The basic fluorescent light fixture is AC, although there are fluorescent lights powered by DC.
A multimeter is used in which there is options for multirange measurement of Ac current or voltages and resistances and also DC voltages
No ... AC means Alternating Current - DC means Direct Current. DC is used mostly for electronics and for voltages within our vehicles. AC is used for motors and for our household appliances and lamps.
The switching of the circuitry is done internally for the different voltages. This is done when you move the switch on the front of the meter from AC to DC.
either one, neither one
The main target of AC AND DC IS TO GIVE SUUPLY TO CONUMERS WERE AS AC CURRENT IS CHEAPER COMPARING WITH DC
As in all electronics devices that obtain power from the AC electric system, a power supply converts the AC to the DC voltage(s) needed by the electronics in the device. Depending on the needs of the device this power supply may deliver a single DC voltage or as many as several dozen different DC voltages.
Yeh buddy! A dc shock is a good shot. An ac shock causes muscles to alternate. Depending on the voltages from either it can be an enlightning experience.
Kirchoff's Law is universally applicable, to AC as well as DC loops.
