The Bible does not discuss King David's mother in detail, as is the case with many women in the Scriptures. She was the wife of Jesse. However, the Talmud claims that Nitzevet bat Adiel (נצבת בת עדאל) is his mother's name. The mother don't mentions her name but the Talmud identifies her as Nitzevet.
No here it was the wicked plan of king David to put Uriah, in the front line so that he would really die. And David could then take his wife Bathsheba as his very own. But he did pay a price for this. Their child died.
Uriah the Hittite.
Bathsheba, the wife of Uriah
Uriah the Hittite and later of David
Uriah was a Hittite soldier in King David's army. He was married to Bathsheba, and David arranged for him to be placed in the frontline of battle in order to be killed, so that David could take Bathsheba as his own wife. This act led to consequences for David and his kingdom.
David sent Uriah to the battle front, and he was killed in the war. David then married his widow Bathsheba.
The wife of Uriah was Bathsheba, who was initially married to Uriah, a soldier in King David's army. After David committed adultery with her, he arranged for Uriah to be killed in battle so he could marry Bathsheba.
Before marrying King David, Bathsheba was the wife of Uriah the Hittite, whom David strategically placed in a dangerous part of battle in order that he would be killed and David would be free to marry Bathsheba.
She may have been Hittite, like her husband, or she may have been Hebrew, considering that she was living in Jerusalem. Bath-sheba was possibly a granddaughter of Ahithophel. Ahithophel was a native of Giloh in the hills of Judah.
The Bible records two. The first being Uriah the Hittite. The second being David King of Israel.
David and Bathsheba's second son was Solomon who became King after David, his father died.
Bathsheba was first Uriah the Hittite's wife and later married to King David. In the book of 2 Samuel it relates the story of how David started a relationship with her after seeing her bathing. When she became pregnant with the King's child, David plotted to have Uriah sleep with his wife. When that failed, he had Uriah killed in battle. Bathsheba later became the King's wife and one of their children was Solomon. This was one of the darkest times in David's life, and eventually repented of these sins. One of Bathsheba's children, Nathan, became an ancestor of Mary (mother of Jesus). Joseph, Jesus' human father, was a descendent of Solomon. Thus, both of Jesus' human parents can trace their ancestry back to Bathsheba and David.
David spied upon Bathsheba while she was bathing. She was the wife of Uriah the Hittite, one of David's soldiers. This event led to a series of significant and tragic consequences in David's life, including an affair with Bathsheba and the eventual death of Uriah. The story is recounted in the biblical book of 2 Samuel.
because he slept with Bathsheba (Uriah's wife) and she became pregnant. David was afraid people would find out he slept with her so he murdered uriah and married Bathsheba. that way the baby is his and people won't think he slept with her when she wasn't married to him. he did to cover his sin.
David committed adultery with Bathsheba and arranged for her husband to be placed in battle so he would be killed. David then married her and she bore him four sons. David was to bitterly regret the sins he committed.
