Did you even read the book?! Jk! Yeah, they are the same person, Dally is just a shorter way of saying Dallas, so is Dal.
Read the book you should be able to figure it out. I did last year!!!!!
Yes, they are. Dally is kind of like a nick-name but his name is Dallas. (And Dally to his friends)
Dally is 17
nobody died WITH johnny cade, although ponyboy and dally got burned pretty bad. At the end though dally does die because after johnny dies in the hospital, dally takes it very hard because johnny was the only thing/person dally actually loved, so dally robbed a store and when the police came after him he used his fake gun to pretend to shoot at them so the police shot Dallas Winston dead on the ground.
Johnny is an outsider because he lives on the east side of town and is poor. He has an alcoholic and abusive mother and father. His best friend is Ponyboy Curtis and got in a fight with one of the Socs.
johnny is like a younger version of dally and dally doesn't want johnny being like him so when johnny wants to turn himself into the cops then dally doesn't want him to because he said that jail toughens him up and he doesn't want johnny to toughen up because if he does he could make some of the same mistakes dally did when he was younger and grow up to be like dally. but dally doesn't want johnny to be like him when he grows up, dally is sort of a father figure for johnny and doesn't want johnny getting hurt. When the church was on fire, dally went to save johnny. Also he doesn't want Johnny to end up like him
How does dally feel about helping people in the Outsiders? why does he feel this way?

Johnny thinks dally is a hero Because dally saved Johnny from the burning church. And yes, I think dally is a hero based on what he did and saved Johnny's life.
Johnny's death was so difficult for Dally to handle because Johnny is Dally's pet. He is one of the only people that Dally cared for and now, Johnny is dead. Johnny's death was like losing a family member to every Greaser but to Dally, it was similar to losing his life. Therefore, it was extremely difficult for Dally to handle to death of Johnny.
Johnny and dally are different because johnny is softerand dally was mean tough, johnny was a shy guy around girls and dally wasnt...Read the book next timee like fr,
Dally fears that Johnny will become hard like him.
Johnny dying was difficult to Dally because johnny was the only thing Dally loved beside himself .. so after Johnny died Dally wanted too.
