Yes, there is a way to 'bypass' the Limited amount of data that can be downloaded in any 24 hour period from HughesNet, but first some groundwork: * The issue described in the question actually refers to the HughesNet's Fair Access Policy (FAP) which limits the amount of data that can be downloaded in any 24 hour period. This amount ranges from 250Mb to 500Mb, depending on your service plan. * This limitation does not apply to uploading content as Hughes Net offers unlimited uploading at speeds ranging from 250 KB to 500KB. Now, here is how you get around this problem: HughesNet always unlimited downloading of content from 3am to 6am Eastern Standard Time. So, do your normal downloading/Internet browsing etc. during the daytime and schedule your heavy downloading to run during the early morning hours. Anything you download during this time does not count toward your 24 hour limits.

Check this thread out. http://vreel.net/board/showthread.php?p=353#post353 Not to be sidetracking, but Vreel is a replacement for the recently closed stage6...a great video hosting site. However, Full Quality DivX sites cost a LOT of money for their bandwidth...If anyone would know it's The guys at Divx , "[They] created Stage6 with the mission of empowering content creators and viewers to discover a new kind of video experience. Ultimately, the continued operation of Stage6 was a very expensive enterprise that required an enormous amount of attention and resources that we at DivX are not in a position to continue to provide. There are a lot of other details involved, but at the end of the day it's really as simple as that." Since Vreel is suppostly going the same direction as them, Hopefully the mod/admin of that forum can help answer this question with more detail.

The Amount of downloading will depend on your hardware space on your computer. Otherwise it's basicly limitless to the amount.
Either, a DVD will allow the most amount of space.

Yes it is. You must normally pay a nominal amount like $10 or $15 for your account but this is to pay for the calls as you use it. So downloading and having is free but using it costs.

The amount of bandwidth that is used for downloading software will depend on the software. Software like Truespace, may take longer because of how many files are involved with the software.
